The Day I Defeated Jenga!
A short essay by Jake
On July 24, 2001, my friend Jason and I decided to play a game of
Jenga. I'm sure I could write a better story, but I've pretty much
forgotten all the defining moments of the game, so I'll just post some
pictures. In fact, I even made up the date. It was definitely during the
summer of 2001, though.
Basically, we finished the game - there were no more pieces to
take off the top.

Above, you can see that the game was technically over at this
point. The only place to take pieces from is the top row, which is
against the rules. However, we wanted to go on..

So we moved 2 of the pieces on the top row into 2 new rows.
Now, the only thing that was left was to attempt to pull pieces really
fast out of the bottom, hoping that the stack would drop perfectly down
and stay standing. This did not work. However, I do not have
a picture of the pieces laying all over the floor and table. Use
your imagination. Alternately, follow these simple steps:
- Buy your own set of Jenga blocks, if you don't already own some
- Set them up
- Knock them over.
It looked a little something like that.
